Must Love Dogs Class Presentation at Texas A&M Commerce

Rue and I had the opportunity to make our first presentation in quite a long time due to Covid-19 restrictions and boy did it feel awesome to get back out on the speaking circuit. My talk was arranged by Sandy Kimbrough, Ph. D. Professor, Health and Human Performance Texas A&M University-Commerce, TX for her new Must Love Dogs course which explores the bonds between these wonderful animals and their humans.

The students and invited guests were awesome and listened intently to my story. During the Q&A I got the chance to answer many thoughtful questions about how Napal and Rue have changed my life so much for the better. The best part of the experience for most of the attendees (as it usually is in my talks) is when I let Rue interact with the students. I think she was more excited than me to get out of the house and do what we were meant to do. She made a lot of new friends and may have even convinced a couple of students to explore becoming Canine Companions for Independence puppy raisers. Thank you Dr. Kimbrough for inviting me, and thanks to the many who bought my book and had it autographed.
